Allan McGregor watched by Arsenal

Recommended Posts

I don't want to see McGregor go, but I guess the thing is, if we got the 5M or so to reinvest in other areas of the team, then maybe its a sacrifice worth making as we do have Alexander in the squad. Of course, there is the small issue as to how much you would trust WS to spend the money wisely!.

I'd have no faith in that at all. We'd probably get a couple of Velickas, Beattie's and McCullochs then see the rest disappear in a mysterious puff of smoke.

Essentially, McGregor is one of our few good players and we are shocking at reinvesting money so selling him would be a disaster

The same puff of smoke that the 18million from JJB disappeared into, apart from one player who we " bought" and paid up.

McGregor is probably, for sheer value, our most valuable asset - and he's the perfect age for a goalkeeper. He's had a terrific season and if a bid came in for £5M we'd snatch at it. We'd probably sell for less tbh.

I remember some thinking we'd only accept stupid money for Miller, but it's plainly obvious we're not really in any position to say no to most bids.

Rangers have taken highly-rated Swedish keeper Filip Nilsson on trial.

The 17-year-old, who plays for Trelleborg, was over at Liverpool last season.

Nilsson said: “I want to show Rangers what I can do.”

Trelleborg director Lasse Larsson said: “Rangers’ interest is serious.

“It’s great for the boy and he will gain experience. But we don’t want to build him up too much.”

Don't waste your money on a return flight ticket. You'll never be heard of again if you come here!
