No one with Rangers at heart will do anything but celebrate the end of Murray's awful tenure. Whether Whyte offers anything better will only be judged in years to come but it's difficult to imagine him being as bad as his bastard predecessor. In saying that, we've had news like this before and this deal is no closer because of any of them.
