I was amazed the BBC haven't covered it...

But I assumed it would be here yet not a peep about it?

A BLADE was found in a package addressed to former Rangers chief Donald Findlay yesterday.

Alarmed staff at Cowdenbeath FC - where the former Ibrox director is chairman - called in police after finding the suspicious package with Findlay's name on it.

They feared it might have contained a bomb and streets around the Fife club's Central Park ground were sealed off as experts arrived.

The bomb disposal team used high-tech camera gear to examine the padded brown envelope and discovered it contained a blade.

The delivery, which cops believe was designed to "cause alarm", follows a letterbomb campaign against Celtic manager Neil Lennon and other public figures.

Leading QC Findlay declined to comment on the package yesterday.

But a police source said the latest threat was designed to "send a message".

Risk The source said: "Staff at the club had been well advised to be on their guard for suspicious packages and report them immediately.

"They reported it to police straight away.

Staff feared the package was filled with explosives but it was a knife.

"It was obviously intended to send a message to Mr Findlay."

Police had left the football club by yesterday afternoon after establishing there was no risk to the public.

Findlay quit as vice-chairman of Rangers in 1999 after being filmed singing sectarian songs at a private party.

Bullets or a blade, not entirely sure. I'm absolutely staggered that the BBC completely ignored this while STV had it as their top story. I'm even more amazed that it's not even mentioned on here.

The BBC will be reporting that it "could have been a Rangers fan" - although there is a small chance of that.

But how about the Celtic fans bombing London and Dublin - surely all IRA members MUST be Celtic fans?

Maybe it was the Papish Anti Beard Brigade, Wilkinson Branch. Could have been a beard hating bear right enough.

Better check out the guests of the Norwegian Beard festival the other day, you know how criminals like this like to return to the scene.

I heard the report of this on BBC radio, but it's true, it was not reported with any 'urgency'!
