Our worst EVER run of games without a win was under his leadership - ELEVEN! The 2009/10 title wasn't the rest were, but we showed up when it was needed most in the final games of the season by beating our opponents quite comfortably and not making it squeeky bum time. I didn't think this would be the right choice for many reasons: 1) Eck managed Birmingham, Villa's rivals 2) I was actually surprised he kept his job the owner of Birmingham is a person you can never be sure about 3) Why did he resign Villa fans wouldn't take to him 4) What other jobs are about? Gribz 743 Posted June 14, 2011 Share Posted June 14, 2011 Seems fair enough. If managers can receive a huge pay off when they are dismissed due to their contract then it works both ways. He can't just expect to walk into another job without giving them compensation. I agree with this. Additionally the board have started to back him and signed 1 or 2 players since the relegation.
