Celtic are considering a surprise move for Bolo Zenden after the free agent trained with Neil Lennon's squad on Saturday. Lennon is keen to add experience to his squad and has turned to Zenden, who has been without a club since leaving Sunderland at the end of last season.
The 35-year-old former Holland international flew into Glasgow on Friday and Lennon and his coaching team plan to assess him over the coming days.
Celtic have previously failed in bids to land Sol Campbell, Jimmy Bullard, David James and Craig Bellamy, which shows Lennon's desire to supplement his squad with seasoned performers.
Zenden has also played for Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, Middlesbrough and Marseille. Although he spent the majority of his career as at attacking midfielder, it is thought he could also provide cover at left back if he can prove his fitness and ability levels to Lennon.
He was previously linked with Nottingham Forest during Steve McClaren's spell in charge of the Championship club.

Ljungberg has left them, right ?

I took a wee look on KDS last night and they are not exactly excited about Zenden signing.

You may well be right about Llungberg. Zenden will cost them them a min of £25k p/w. Very expensive piece of business if they do it
