Come on the Super Talbot !!!!

Celtic away to Peterhead Gav......

I remember having a good few tussles with the Talbot in scottish cup ties, you always knew you were in a game when you drew them in the scottish cup, they are also mental and it can be very intimidating playing at their ground, durty bassas really:tongue:

The yahoos got a far far easier draw than us, that's for sure. Arbroath are a good team who should really be playing in the 1st division whereas Peterhead are completely shite and should barely even be playing in a professional league.

Ya lying bassa Ian. I remember you, ya clugging fcker ;) - Talbot are the Barcelona of Junior football

I used to travel to Talbot games everywhere when I was still at home. Talbot v Cumnock games are far worse than the OF games - Cumnock fans used to throw pool balls at the Talbot keeper and one of their players got whacked by a Cumnock fan on the head with the corner flag (when they were wooden...).

Who did you play for ?

Talbot..... most successful Scottish Junior team..... EVER !!!! 9 Scottish Junior titles says it all :D

Aye,kicked evrybody off the park, big bullies that's all they are:tongue:

Seriously though they were always the big guns to draw in the scottish cup and I only played against then twice, once at their ground in the quarter final in which we got beat 2-1,but denied a stone wall penalty, and once at our ground in the 4/5 round? and we lost that one 1-0,can't remember the dates as it seems so long ago:redface:. I played 10 seasons for Tranent Juniors, that quarter final tie at Talbots ground there was something like 9 buses of Tranent fans through that day, massive crowds really. I do remember after the game our team bus got stoned and we had to get a police escort out of town, considering they won and this was about 8 at night I wonder what it would have been like if we had won?

The last time we played Arbroth in cup competion I was there, and I think we won 5-0, or 5-1.

It must have been the league cup as it was still bright up there and a freezing cold wind off the sea. Nice fish supper though.
