Broadfoot will always be a back up player so if someone comes along and offers him regular football and good wages we'd be churlish to stand in his way. We have Ortiz, McMillan, Cole and possibly Edu who could all play in that position as back up to Whittaker so if we can get some cash for him then.... McMillan and Cole are the inexperienced youngsters, Ortiz a more experienced replacement. My cynical self says that Whittaker's injury came at a right time for him, for he's been abyssmal at times as RB and any decent offer (Fulham was supposedly interested) would have seen him go. Disagree.
