Trialists In Saints Win

Recommended Posts

RANGERS trialists Enar Jaager and Jorge Claros played their part as the Light Blues won a bounce game with St Johnstone 3-0 at Murray Park today.

Each player turned out for the full 90 minutes against the Perth side and they both some nice touches as they bid to win contracts at Murray Park.

Alejandro Bedoya's second-half opener, a Juan Ortiz penalty and substitute Andrew Little's penalty made the difference.

Honduran star Claros and Estonia international Jaager, who has 84 caps for his country, will now be assessed for the rest of the week by Gers' coaching staff.

I find it slightly worrying that the best they can say about the pair is that "both showed some nice touches" when they played for the full 90 minutes.

We very rarely get much info about trialists who play in bounce games or even about how trialists are doing at Murray Park at all unless we try to sign them or actually sign them. It's the best policy because there's no point in singing their praises when they're just here to train for a week on trial.

It was a closed doors game as well which means the whole intention was to keep things under wraps.

On a sidenote - Good to hear that Bedoya got another goal. That's two bounce games on the trot he's scored in! :tu:
