Wonder why he doesnt have his surname on his shirt ? ;)

 

Yes, after much fun at his and our expense, BBC radio said he's have Mervin on his shirt. They also broadcast an interview with his agent who said his name is pronunced CHe-lik.

 

as long as he puts one or two past them in the OF games, who gives a monkey's what he calls himself.

Interestingly his former side GAIS actually finished higher than the Swedish giants Gothenburg. All of whom fell well behind a certain side we lost to earlier in the season...

 

He's a good age, and seems to be having a reasonable career - hopefully he hits the ground running with us and proves a worthy acquisition.

There's some good goals in this GAIS compilation including a handful from Celik amongst which there's a very nice goal by him against Malmo... :tu:

He certainly likes a shot at goal

 

He sure does... 14 League goals in 27 appearances in the Swedish season that finished a couple of months back meant he was top scorer for his club and 3rd top scorer in the League.
