With the standard of football I have seen god knows how anyone can discuss professional football in ladies football.

Glasgow City and now Hibernian aside, it is probably a world apart from what you see in the man's game. And - with no disrespect - even City's standard is worlds apart from real professional women football that you can see in Germany, France, Sweden, England, Japan or the US of A.

#SSESWCup: Hibernian complete treble double with Scottish Cup Win

The curtain has now fallen on the 2018 season, with the Hibees ending the season with more silverware.

In 2019, Hibernian will look forward to a UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign, as well as the defence of two domestic trophies and a League Title Challenge on the cards.

Report on the Cup Final, where Hibs beat Motherwell 8-0. They are probably the team of the season, pushing Glasgow City all the way and winning two cups. It remains to be seen what will happen next season, as  - per usual - players will swap teams and some may move to better and professional sides.

 

Speaking of which, Scotland came close to a draw against the USA (one of the top teams in the world), with former Rangeress (then Glasgow City and now Chelsea) Erin Cuthbert shining.

Our longest serving playeress has been released (... which is a bit strange given our recent performances). Anyway, Lisa is a Bluenose through and through and those going to Ibrox will sure see her every other Saturday ...

Amazing what being around the right type of people that believe in you can do for you. Holly Napier's corner found Donnelly at the back post and she fired a header into the back of the net. (3-2)
