der Berliner 3,250
Glasgow City and now Hibernian aside, it is probably a world apart from what you see in the man's game. And - with no disrespect - even City's standard is worlds apart from real professional women football that you can see in Germany, France, Sweden, England, Japan or the US of A.
der Berliner 3,250
+ #SSESWCup: Hibernian complete treble double with Scottish Cup Win The curtain has now fallen on the 2018 season, with the Hibees ending the season with more silverware. In 2019, Hibernian will look forward to a UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign, as well as the defence of two domestic trophies and a League Title Challenge on the cards. https://scotwomensfootball.com/sseswcup-hibernian-complete-treble-double-with-scottish-win/ + Report on the Cup Final, where Hibs beat Motherwell 8-0. They are probably the team of the season, pushing Glasgow City all the way and winning two cups. It remains to be seen what will happen next season, as - per usual - players will swap teams and some may move to better and professional sides. Speaking of which, Scotland came close to a draw against the USA (one of the top teams in the world), with former Rangeress (then Glasgow City and now Chelsea) Erin Cuthbert shining. One goal enough as Scotland fall to USA defeat https://scotwomensfootball.com/one-goal-enough-as-scotland-fall-to-usa-defeat/ (NB: Funny way of writing a headline for a losing side ... ) Highlight of that game: And a snap from the goalscorer ... der Berliner 3,250
Quote Rangers WFC POTY Awards ... “One of the biggest things is consistency and hopefully we can keep that by keeping the majority of the squad moving forward. “Usually we are a hunting ground for Hibs and Glasgow City and they usually come in and take two or three of our best players each pre-season. “If we can keep those players then it allows you to build, this could be the first season that we are going to manage that. “That makes such a significant difference to the squad and to the morale amongst the squad, to know we are moving in the right direction. https://rangers.co.uk/news/women/rwfc-poty-awards/ Sad but true. Then again, there is a lovely merry-go-round with players in the women's game, nigh equal to what I witness over here in the basketball championship. Surreal doesn't cover it.
