Rebels gun for Regan

Recommended Posts

I've heard one or two murmurs all not well with their stadium. Anyone heard anything about that? safety issues and the like

It's a mess but don't worry GCC (surprise surprise) are bailing them out to get it ready for the Commonwealth Games as well as investing in the surrounding area.

its opening was delayed because it wasnt safe. it was thrown up as cheap as they could do it for too. same with their training complex which cost half of what ours did.

It seems that there is a bit of redecorating going on within the suites at Saville Park (even thinking of putting in an Irish pub into one ) and Liewell is doing his nut about the amount of money it's costing and getting everyone told to get the budget down. It would appear its the same all over with everyone being told to keep their budgets tight.

It seems even the the great unwashed cant do without us also.

Is every company not doing that in these very poor economic times.

HSE have given GCC a report on the standard needed and Saville Park isn't even close.

Never heard of HSE paying for improvements?

They have HSE issues concerning the provision of wheelchair spaces, also forthcoming changes in UEFA regulations concerning the provision of wheelchair spaces. Both the Piggery and Hampden will comply with the new UEFA regulations courtesy of GCC.

At least two sections of 45 elevated spaces will be installed in the Main Stand at the Piggery. It cost RFC £80k to install 4 (yes FOUR) elevated spaces in the Broomloan. RFC currently have no plans to comply with the upcoming UEFA regulations.

Do they need all those spaces for the Commonwealth games FS?

Or are the UEFA regs higher again?

I honestly don't know if they would need them for the CG or not perhaps it's just a fortunate coincidence.

Hampden does need them for the CG due to the fact that the existing spaces will be below the planned track, iirc they will be moving to the rear of the North Stand.
