the sun say's Doncaster for the chop?

SPL supremo Neil Doncaster could be AXED from fronting the top flightâ??s radical reconstruction plans.

SunSport understands several club chairmen donâ??t want Doncaster to present the reforms they are putting forward.

Doncaster announced the SPL will explore a new 24-team, two-league format which would split into three separate groups battling for the title, relegation and promotion.

But chief executive Doncaster could now be asked to take a back seat over fears his handling of the Rangers crisis has left him damaged.

The SFL have their own Rangers-backed 16-10-16 plans. With the two governing bodies at loggerheads a bitter PR battle is set to ensue to win over fans.

But having Doncaster as the frontman is causing concern in the countryâ??s boardrooms.

Last summer he was widely criticised, along with SFA chief Stewart Regan, for scaremongering about the prospect of losing TV contracts if Rangers were not either retained in the SPL or put into Division One.

That provoked outrage from other clubs and fans, who then demanded their chairmen vote overwhelmingly to send Gers into Division Three.

The pair were also met with hostility when addressing SFL clubs during a crisis meeting at Hampden.

With that in mind, the SPL are concerned their attempts to persuade people their plan is the best will fall on deaf ears â?? unless the case is delivered by a fresh voice.

As a result Doncaster could now be forced to step aside.

Regan should be the first to go because he shouldn't even still be in a job at the SFA, but if Doncaster goes first so be it. I'll settle for them both being sacked or forced to resign before the season ends or reconstruction plans get serious, whichever comes first.

Turning on their own. It really is all beginning to unravel.

I won't be happy til they both go.

If the SPL clubs think that will suffice they are naiive. The whole rotten structure needs to go.

Doncaster is a fall guy, pure and simple. Doncaster doesn't set the agenda, he merely is a mouth piece for the SPL who tell him what to say. If they're hanging him out to dry for 'his handling', then in fact they're pointing the finger at those who made the decisions which he had to announce, implement and defend.

AND that bastard Liewell being outed as well.

There will never be complete trust in any Scottish Football organization with that slit eyes bassa being somehow involved.
