Some wee snippets from Green's investor pitch last week....

Here are some Charles Green snippets from last week's investor meeting, nothing too earth shattering but interesting all the same.. :

  • He has no problem with rebranding the stadium or Murray Park
  • Mike Ashley has 9% of Gers
  • If they raise £20m via IPO then Green gets 10%
  • There are 2 investors he wants rid of as he felt they let him down (didnâ??t say who)
  • Announcement on shirt maker for next year in next 2 weeks â?¦ Puma or Adidas â?¦
  • "Bet butler" to be bookie tie up â?¦ they will walk if/when a bigger bookie comes in with better offer (heâ??s a shareholder)
  • Commercial director of Arsenal is/has put money in
  • Website was costing us £30k per month â?¦ now in house
  • G4S is getting binned and we will do it ourself
  • Catering will still be outsourced
  • Has met Claudio Reyna and discussed some tie ups with MLS
  • He was very keen on colt teams â?¦ viewing â??one dayâ? when Rangers/Celtic leave the league as it is then the colt teams with be allowed to move up through the leaguesâ?¦.
  • Also, think its Everton weâ??re playing, under 17â??s at Murray park on Friday 14th Dec then the under 20â??s are playing at Ibrox in the evening â?¦ looking to open gates for a price and/or internet pay per view. - These â??Future Fridaysâ? has been agreed and Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle have agreed to send U-20 teams North to Ibrox
  • Media accounted for 3% of our income in last 12 months â?¦ he wants that to grow to 30%, part of this is the internet & why he wont go back to SPL on current TV deals â?¦ he did rant a bit about Ally and players not giving interviews to press and all will be pushed through Rangers media outlets â?¦ for a price
  • Going forward he does not want wages to exceed 33% of turnover â?¦ bearing in mind he wants us up to £100m turnover by time weâ??re back in big league then that would be £33m v £7.8m at presentâ?¦ more we make more we spend
  • He insists we will never have debt under his ruleâ?¦.
  • Ultimately, he was pitching to a soft audience â?¦ he kept referring to £60m turnover before the collapse but that was with Europe and SPL sky money included
  • He seems really convinced there will be a bigger European stageâ?¦ kept comparing European footy to US sports and how untapped it is
  • Also looking to get Ibrox re-established as a concert venue for big acts

Disclaimer: As I wasn't at the meeting I have no idea of the accuracy of the above, though the source is a bear and has no real reason to bullshiit.

"Bet butler" to be bookie tie up … they will walk if/when a bigger bookie comes in with better offer (he’s a shareholder)

Funny as f*&k, Green in his own words linking himself to a certain Andrew Ellis.

No word of a lie, and it might be completely and utterly irrelevant; I actually discussed an actual Rangers themed online bookie and casino with Imran when he was over here. I'm not sure if his interest in what I was saying was because he was being badgered about the OO or thought it had merit.
