Change in attitude???

Recommended Posts

A few months ago, many folk on here were crying out about the clubs ownership - "We should never have one person in charge again" were the cries.

However, now that the club is effectively owned by multiple people/trusts/organisations, I am noticing a shift....people have been moaning about multiple, faceless entities owning part of the club, and I am detecting some subtle hints that some folk would like to see a single wealthy owner again, that can support the club financially - Ian McColl's name being mentioned again.....

Do fans REALLY know what they want ownership-wise, and do the fans REALLY know what is best for the club at a corporate level in order for it to progress and remain financially sound???

but, you'd expect them to put loads in though???

absolutely. And Why not? They are buying the prestige and status that will go with being the owner of the club. This isn't Brechin we're talking about. The owner of a well run Rangers can enjoy quite a bit of access to some top European tables and the company of some extremely powerful people; good for the ego and potentially good for other business.

No need for a single owner to plough in millions, the support generate plenty enough to sustain us. Sadly the club is full of leeches, which makes it much worse than anything a single owner could do. Not many successful clubs have greens business model that he's convinced most of us as the way to go.
