Ibrox Remembrance Day Events To Be Stopped

We could have the Armed Services at Ibrox on another day, say around the 30th January.

All for an 'Appreciation Day'... surely this wouldn't be inappropriate!

GENERAL WHO IS A DONKEY AND AN ASS

Talk about Lions led by Donkeys. Well, the Jocks, those most famous and feared sojers of Her Britannic Majesty’s Army, are certainly led by an ass at the moment.

He goes by the name of Nick Eeles and also goes by the grand title of General Officer Commanding Scotland. I’ve got another name for him.

Wimp!

A man who, at the first whiff of cordite, at the first sound of faint gunfire in the far distance, will run up the white flag and dishonour the brave Jocks who have fought, bled and died in the cause of freedom from the Somme to El Alamein and beyond.

What a cowardly plonker this guy truly is.

Here’ s a wee tip to the Whitehall mandarins charged with reducing the British Army by 20,000. Start with General Nick Eeles. That way you won’t have reduced the fighting strength of the British Army at all.

For this is a man – and I use that word in its loosest sense – who immediately hoisted the white flag of surrender as soon as somebody out there anonymously complained about being offended by the way Rangers chose to celebrate and mark Remembrance weekend last year.

Offended? Yes, that is correct. And at that, General Eeles, a man who disgraces a high rank held by many brave men down through Scotland’s martial story, not only capitulated, but also ordered an Army spokeswoman to issue an apology to anyone who was offended as a full house at Ibrox honoured the Army’s real soldiers, its proper heroes, and remembered the fallen.

In fact, there was much about what happened at Ibrox on November 10th last year which was similar to what followed on television later that night when the Festival of Remembrance was held at the Royal Albert Hall in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen, to whom all service personnel, including that prize Donkey, General Eeles, pledge an oath of allegiance to.

One can only assume that the ass who is General Nick Eeles has never watched this marvellous mixture of nostalgia, celebration, singing and dancing and general light-hearted fun, before the solemn and serious business of Remembrance as the poppies flutter from above.

Otherwise he would know that the event staged by Rangers was in many ways similar to what occurred at the Royal Albert Hall and which always appears to so delight Her Majesty.

So who was offended by the Rangers celebration of all that is good about our fabulous fighting men and woman?

Who was it who had sufficient clout to be able to go right to the top, all the way to Edinburgh Castle and put pressure on the puny wee coward who sits there, atop Scotland’s sojers?

Surely it was not just some wee demented IRA supporting keyboard warrior in Royston, or some such place where rampant Republicanism and hatred of the British Army is the norm? Or does anyone else out there have any other ideas?

One idea which I have is that those who are offended by this wimp of a general, this Donkey who leads Lions, should make their feelings known and write to General Nick Eeles at Edinburgh Castle.

Eeles is a man who reminds me of the wee poem about the Battle of Sherrifmuir in 1715 between the Jacobites and the Crown, a battle which most judge to have ended in a draw.

“There’s some say that we ran and some say they they ran,

And some say that nane ran at aw.

But nae man can tell, save our brave gen-er-al, who first started running of aw .”

General Nick Eeles is just such a man. A Donkey who leads Lions. A wimp and a coward who does not deserve to be allowed to wear the Queen’s Uniform.

Utter shite from Leggat there.

Calling the guy a coward, a donkey etc?

We either support the Armed Forces or we don't. If the Armed Forces wish us to tone it down, we tone it down. No need for this vitriolic shite. Leggat should be ashamed of himself.

Only person who should be ashamed of himself is the General, pandering to people who would quite happily see him dead and celebrate it.
