Kudos to Longmuir, but the timing looks a bit odd. Then again, this all looks like blackmailing anyway. Doing this halfway down a season and setting funny time-frames.

Has Longmuir been 'bought'? He was previously the only one of the 3 bodies with common sense and intergrity.

 

But now its "has told them"?? If he sticks to his guns he should be telling the SFL clubs to vote neither.

of course. he said himself he needs to make sure it has goes thru one way or another or they may never get the chance again.. his words not mine.

Primary objective for the SFL is that they get a pyramid structure and a fair way of money-distribution from top to bottom. All the rest comes after that.

To be fair to Longmuir, he is asking for 2 leagues of 10 to avoid the scenario where this season's games would prove meaningless.

 

There seems to be a few on twitter hinting that we will be accelerated to League 2 which won't be required if we get the 2 leagues of 10 (which is basically ignoring what the fans are saying about playing each other 4 times). Whole thing is a mess.

 

If they don't take this opportunity which is before them to accelerate us through the leagues then they are crazy. All clubs are motivated by self interest. The whole thing is depressing.

That would make sense but for the benefit of the other teams he should be looking at less divisions.

 

The one thing he needs to make sure of is getting a strong position in the merging bodies, else if there is a split again the SPL will then have the majority of 24 teams to 18. As its stands 30 to 12 in favour of the SFL should have him in a much stronger position.
