What will Charles Green do about Murray Park ?

Recommended Posts

Personally I think you have to look at it pre-Sinclair and since he came in separately. All players that have progressed to the first team were either there before he came or joined Rangers as full-time professionals (Aird, McKay, Hemmings, Hegarty for example) and therefore were developed elsewhere. His record in buying 13 - 15 year olds that don't then progress to pro-youth contracts is shocking, the latest couple only lasted ONE year at the club. Add to that the dozen or so players he has released that then go on to represent Scotland at youth level in the past year, its not difficult to put a case that questions his competence.

He took over what was the best in the country and we have regressed year on year under his stewardship.

When you think of the number of times we have been told we have to produce our own players, and hopefully sell them on for a profit.

You would have thought Murray Park would have been first on the agenda for overhaul and investment.

The longer it takes to get people at the top who are here for the long haul, the more time is being wasted on the path to a successful Rangers on and off the park.

I am just off the phone to one of the RFC coaches - he deals with overseas development relationships but also coaches the RFC U10's.

Apparently the RFC U12's have just played some select Maryland and Pennsylvania U13 teams (so, in essence, the best players that those two US states have) and the RFC U12's beat one team 11-1 and he left the last game with the score at 14-0.

He said that Rangers have a "particularly strong group at U12" - my question would be "what age does Sinclair get his hands on the kids ?

Our team here in Bermuda will be in Glasgow this summer for a Rangers tour (4 training sessions by RFC coaches as well as participating in the Rangers international tournament). As a coach myself I will be interested in the methods adopted by Rangers.
