Setanta enter the 21st centure with widescreen broadcast

Recommended Posts

One of my biggest criticisms of Setanta is that they never broadcast in widescreen which is not only very annoying on a widescreen tv, it means you miss some of the off the ball action which makes widescreen so good for football.

However, over the Christmas period I think one of their Leprachauns must have scratched his head and said in his best Irish accent, "I wonder what this switch does, I t'ink I'll try it." And lo and behold there is light where before there were black bands.

You see they were always recording in widescreen as proven when they now showed action from earlier in the season...

They still haven't done it for Rangers TV though...

Is it on Rangers tv you get the games live over the internet.

Is it any good and what does it cost. I may think of getting it for next season.

I have also heard you get the setanta games over Polish satellite anyone know anything about that.

I get the games live on the internet through the official site, not Rangers TV.

Hit and miss with the reception though - yesterday seemed ok but it would still freeze now and then (and I am sure that my workplace has plenty of bandwidth to cover) and also would get a horrible shadow.

I buy the games on a per-game basis Pete, cost is US$9.50 per game, you can get a 4 game package for $36 and you can get the season for $275 (I think it is $275) - I might even get the season package next year.
