Will never be in our first team ahead of Walkace for what 5-6 years? Can't buy every promising player if we have better already with years ahead of them. Had he been a right back however?

 

Every? One would have been nice.

 

Horrible way to look at things. Every top team needs at least 2 players for every position who are comfortable in that position. We have over 30 first team players on our books, so many who are not good enough and a couple whos careers are just about done. This guy is the future. You can never have enough good young players and for what he would have cost, it should have been a no brainer. Lee Wallace ain't winning us SPL titles or European trophies, for what we are doing right now, guys like Robertson should be a shoe in. Being able to work with, work under and learn from the best left back in Scotland too would have no doubt helped the kid.

Unfortunately for him LB isn't a position we require anyone for at present

 

But it was when he was up for grabs with only one left back on our books. We chose Stevie Smith no doubt on more wages than Robertson is on at Utd! A hasbeen who is injury prone and who has seen what best days he had. Who has the brighter future and will command the higher transfer fee when they leave, it aint Smudger!

Its a decent squad actually but its a pointless match so no Wallace is good for us.

 

Considering we still have likes of Boyd on the fringes then all bodes well for Euro 2016 qualification. The draw is tomorrow.
