Some players peak earlier in their careers than others and I can only see Rooney starting to wind down now. It's a ludicrous deal; he might be at his peak or just past now but in 2/3 years? and to think about him as a future club ambassador vis-a-vis Gerrard at Liverpool grrrr! He might drop deep a lot but he is still an attacker for the team that usually wins the league.
