Zappa 0
Feel very sorry for the students who were setting up for the final display/exam; goodness knows how they'll be assessed. Some of them might have lost the majority of the work for their degree show, so it might come down to how well the lecturers knew their students work. Very difficult situation. The main thing is that everyone got out safely. Not looking too good for the library though. Edited May 24, 2014 by Zappa

The Real PapaBear 0
I am in Mallorca at the moment, and was devestated at yesterday's news reference the Glasgow School of Art. Perhaps the club might utilise a bit of foresight and organise a Friendly to rase funds for repair. Hstorically, Rangers have a good track record in this regard. Maybe Atletico Bilbao with their modern art footprint? that is a very good shout 26! I don't think BH's idea of playing celtic is a starter - too much fresh bitterness and hatred. The GSoA deserves more than that. It would be better if we did our thing and they did theirs and the school gets twice the love. If our club was being properly run, the people in charge would probably be interested in the idea - as it is Celtic will probably organise something, and we'll be left behind looking small and mean.

Indeed. Fantastic gesture and I agree that the club's weak executive management team will likely let it pass by them or offer something not quite befitting the art school and club.
Rangersitis 0
The club should steer clear until the money from the AC Milan debacle has been replaced. That was the most shameful moment throughout the whole administration process.

That was the most shameful moment throughout the whole administration process. The Club should probably steer clear of the whole Art School fire and fundraising for it's repairs subject, but not for the reason you suggest, more for the fact that our own iconic listed building is badly in need of some serious TLC while the Club is literally struggling for survival. Maybe I'm being selfish with that sentiment, but I think GCC should foot the repair and restoration bill for the Art School.

Sounded yesterday that the SG was going to foot some or all of the bill.
