Attendance On Tuesday!

Looks like we are pushing 40k just now.

I bought two today - but I am little worried at having to pickup the tickets 2 hours before kick off.

If need be - and if it's that bad - I think they may delay kick off if many are still queuing to collect tickets.

Rangers' new bosses stunned at lack of Ibrox staff after Mike Ashley regime

Rangers' new bosses stunned at lack of Ibrox staff after Mike Ashley regime

Although Dave King and his allies, Paul Murray and John Gilligan, knew that Rangers’ infrastructure had been seriously eroded – particularly in recent months – they encountered one unexpected shock when they took stock after dislodging the previous Mike Ashley-backed board at Friday’s extraordinary general meeting.

The three new directors called a staff meeting inside the stadium in order to introduce themselves and outline the first steps to recovery – only to be astounded at how few employees remained. The Telegraph understands that one area of urgent concern for the incoming board will be to address how the club will cope with the expected mass return of supporters who have boycotted Rangers.

On Friday King called for a full house for the first home game since the EGM, Tuesday's Scottish Championship fixture against Queen of the South and the indicators are that Ibrox will once more host a crowd of something like its 52,000 capacity. Amongst those who will come back to the stadium is former captain and manager, John Greig – once voted Greatest Ever Ranger by the support – who was the subject of a leaked email from PR advisors to the disgraced former owner, Craig Whyte.

The email referred to Greig as “thick” and said that he “contributes nothing”. One of King’s first acts was to invite Greig to be a guest of honour for the visit of Queen of the South.

Meanwhile, Douglas Park, also appointed as a director of the new board – and a member of the Three Bears consortium who are expected to join forces with King in funding the first stage of Rangers’ recovery, told fans that they need not think of themselves as victims, despite the difficulties of the last three years.

In a statement on Monday night, Park said: “It is our intention to begin immediately the process of repairing the considerable damage caused to this great club by people who should never have been allowed anywhere near Rangers.

“We have every right to look forward with hope instead of wondering each day what other outrageous or destructive decisions might be taken. The abuse of this club is at an end.

“We did not put in all this time and effort, or commit to providing funds only to lose the real battle. Of course there may be setbacks but we, Rangers fans, have shown that when we seek to achieve the same thing and work together the force generated can be pretty much unstoppable.

“Let’s be proud of what has just been achieved. We have forced change, we have altered the club’s course and we have given Rangers a real opportunity to flourish and grow strong again.

“So we should now discard this notion that we are victims because the truth is we have not been defeated. We are still here. We are still standing. We are still Rangers and let no one forget we have a long, long history of victory.”

Looks like stewarding may be a problem.

It's been pretty shambolic since Green & co introduced the in-house subsidiary Garrion (onerous contract?) which doesn't seem capable of dealing with even our lowest attendances in 3 years and has still had to rely on G4S for games with less than 20k tickets sold.

No idea what's going on, but I'm pretty sure there's some sort of problem with how it's been set up.
