Green might have aquired the assets fraudulently and this might return them to the previous owner ... who in turn acted unlawful (we shall see) and then they might be returned to the previous owner. However I think they will have stopped some time ago as much of the investigations will have been deemed to be sub judice and left to the police and crown office.
