Timmy & Irony

Recommended Posts

Last week I had a bit of a 'political rant' that should up how confused Timmy is when it comes to politics. Below is a photo from a demonstration outside Croke Park on Saturday that sums Timmy up better than a 1,000,000 words could. Said Timmy was taking part in a SF sponsered demonstartion that also attracted the Oirish equivelent of the BNP (who's catchphrase is Oirland for the Oirish - who have seen themselves lambasted by the Irish broadsheets recently, especially during the 'Love Ulster' parades and subsequent riots).

Anyway, have a wee look at Typical Timmy and laugh your socks of (his sign is even in a 'foriegn language')....

a dont get that

The demonstration was to stop 'foriegn games' being played at Croke Park in Dublin - 'foriegn games' include rugby and soccer..... so Timmy thought it be a great idea to go along with a soccer top and tracky on and with a sign written in a 'foriegn language'. Now that's irony.. no?

BTW well done to the 1000's of irish rugby fans who stood respectfully to GSTQ with no fuss...just goes to show that most irish people are past all that anti British/ poor downtrodden us rubbish that is so readily peddled by sf and the 'glasgow irish'

Totally agree! The 'glasgow irish' are an embarrasment to the vast majority of decent irish people who want nothing to do with the crap they peddle!

I was surprised with the reaction of the Irish towards GSTQ. I was expecting them to boo their way through the whole anthem as if it were a football match but hats off to them. Because of the way the plastic paddys behave here in Scotland the decent Irish people living in Ireland get put in the same boat.

Fortunately the rugby people in Ireland are far more open to change than there knuckle dragging bretheren who follow the footie (pretty much where the SF brigade are)

As a side issue..... Fraser51 - You are seriously taking the pi55 when you say you don't get it.... please tell me you are!!:D
