I am not a legal expert but I would imagine Rangers will be well within their rights to refuse entry to Ibrox to anyone wearing shirts showing the Rangers crest illegally.

Whether they would take that action to their own supporters is questionable but it is a possibility.

I held my tongue the other day out of respect for the rules on here when that arsehole rolled up. There's no way a site promoting buying these jerseys from Greaves or Sports Direct are Rangers supporters...........we need to expose that fake Rangers forum for what it is. It's a pity we can't do it on here

Colin we cannot change anything from on here. I personally have no idea what goes on at other forums except here and I read FF when it is quiet on here or I am looking for info. If you want to change things then it has to be done from the inside. The last thing I want to read on here is the dirty washing from other sites.

I think most will agree.

At this moment in time it looks like the club are allowing this sale to go ahead tomorrow, it may be a tactic or trap to give Ashley enough rope to hang himself with?

The club gets practically nothing in return at the moment off Sports Direct for selling shirts, allowing SD to sell shirts tomorrow changes nothing in that department. But what it does do is give the club ammunition in any subsequent court action against SD for breach of using the club trademark without permission.

@Rangers_Bognor We would like to assure customers that the jerseys will not be sold until we seek clarification from the club tomorrow.

SINCE terminating the IP Licence and Rights Agreement with Rangers Retail Limited, the Club has made its best efforts to engage with PUMA on an agreed way forward without the involvement of Sports Direct for the manufacture of replica kits and other merchandise to supporters.

During discussions it emerged that PUMA had manufactured some replica kit after receiving purchase orders directly from Sports Direct and without the prior knowledge or agreement of the Club and its directors on the Rangers Retail Limited board, Paul Murray and David King. Despite requests to Sports Direct and PUMA we have not been able to ascertain full details of this arrangement or to reconcile it with the commercial contracts that were in place between the Club and Rangers Retail Limited.

The Club has not been party to discussions on the launch of kit sales by PUMA this week. We were first notified of their intentions after close of business on Friday last week.

We are surprised and disappointed by the lack of consultation with the Club and/or supporters groups prior to the launch.

From Evening Times.

Rangers 'surprised and disappointed' at merchandise development ahead of Light Blues kit launch

RANGERS say they are ‘surprised and disappointed’ after it emerged that the Light Blues’ kit for this season will be sold from Thursday morning.

SportTimes revealed in June that Gers fans would not be able to purchase the new Puma manufactured strips for the 2016/17 campaign after the Ibrox board terminated the IP Licence and Rights Agreement with Rangers Retail Limited.

It was the latest development in the long-running saga over Rangers’ merchandise after supporters vowed to boycott club shops and Sports Direct stores in protest at the controversial retail deals in place with Mike Ashley’s firm.

Sports Direct are one of several shops that have now taken delivery of the home, away and third kits and will start selling them to supporters from tomorrow morning.

But Rangers are unhappy at the way the situation has developed after it emerged fans will now have the chance to buy the strips Mark Warburton’s side will wear in the Premiership after all.

A club statement read: “Since terminating the IP Licence and Rights Agreement with Rangers Retail Limited, the Club has made its best efforts to engage with PUMA on an agreed way forward without the involvement of Sports Direct for the manufacture of replica kits and other merchandise to supporters.
