A VIDEO has emerged online of fans being hit by a broken seat at the powderkeg clash in Aberdeen at the weekend.

RANGERS fans are being accused of vandalising the stand at Pittodrie yesterday, and potentially causing injury as they threw broken seats at rival Aberdeen fans during their premiership meet-up in the northern city.

It comes just hours after Police Scotland revealed they are investigating an attack of vandalism on the Rangers team bus.

Rangers hit out at Aberdeen fans who scored the message "Ibrox 71" - a sickening reference to the stadium disaster that claimed the lives of 66 Gers fans in January 1971 - into the paintwork of the coach.

The scratched writing also said "Durrant dived", in reference to Rangers legend Ian Durrant whose career was blighted by a horror tackle by Aberdeen star Neil Simpson at Pittodrie in 1988.

In the video, above, Aberdeen fans, separated from the Rangers away support by a metal fence, duck out of the way when a yellow seat is thrown over the metal divide.

One fan is hit on the head and then cowers as another flies overhead and lands at their feet.

A spokesman for Aberdeen FC said, "Unfortunately this is an all too often occurrence.

"Damage incurred by away fans is billed back to the club."

It's believed three people were arrested following a variety of incidents at the game, which included someone allegedly setting off a firework.

Police Scotland will be releasing more details on arrests later in the day.

Not sure that came over the fence.

Does it matter much if there was willful vandalism ? Vandalism that will be charged back to the club.... and yet we have fans that complain about lack of investment in the playing squad..... and some who will more than likely be involved in costing the club money from such vandalism.

What is wrong with people these days that they cant go to a football game to just watch the footy ?

If it didn't come over the fence it couldn't have been thrown by Rangers fans as the Record states.

So it's actually Aberdeen fans throwing it at rangers fans but not reaching.

Looks like that to me mate!,impossible to tell either way from that video but it's easy for the gutter press to blame Rangers fans!,as has been proved they won't report anything unless they can equal the blame between Rangers fans and everybody else!
