...Chief Constable, Procurator Fiscal and Lord Advocate.

LAWYERS for Rangers oldco administrators David Whitehouse and Paul Clark have announced the pair have initiated legal proceedings against the Chief Constable of Police Scotland, the Procurator Fiscal and the Lord Advocate.

The duo, of finance advisors Duff & Phelps, released a statement via their legal team indicating their intentions this afternoon.

Sent from Livingstone Brown, the firm representing David Whitehouse, the statement read: "Following repeated press inquiries to our clients directly, we can confirm that David Whitehouse and Paul Clark have initiated legal proceedings against the Chief Constable of Police Scotland, the Procurator Fiscal and the Lord Advocate.

"As these proceedings are underway it would be inappropriate for us to say anything more at this time."

Then it is an absolute disgrace by the legal profession.

I'm fuming at this.

My cynical self just whispered that there are those who work for the public, prosecutors et al, and then there are these professionally "sound and good" ones who work for companies and law firms or even run them and make bucketloads of money. And you know what quality of lawyers will end up at the respective places and jobs.

As much as it goes against the grain there was no way in hell that any conviction would have been possible after the actions of the authorities and when the full details are finally revealed it will be plain why.
