The Tablecloths and Timberlands urinating into the well kept gardens of a douce Edinburgh suburb is a vision somewhat short of great and sublime beauty. Anyway, the Plan, quite clearly, is for the SFA, and the other unnecessary administrations, to move into, or near the pigsty, and for the National XI to play, if not all, then the substantial majority of its games @porkheid. There is already a little background music, lauding its "unique" atmosphere (I could agree with that, frankly, but for other reasons) and so forth. Have you read into the detail of Celtic's land deals? It really does stink to high heavens. Yes I would be surprised. According to this report Rangers, Ross County, Inverness Caley Thistle, Dundee and Hamilton face significant rises. I find it hard to believe that someone would increase these other clubs valuations just so they can put ours up. Could be that these other clubs are due to be increased and ours not. But that would be paranoia. The got a few million gifted to tart it up, hundreds of millions were spent improving the infrastructure of the local area, parking, new sporting facilities, transport links, road improvements and free drugs. The Rateable Value purports to be an objective assessment, by the City Assessor (in Glasgow). The poundage rate is set by the Scottish Government. Rangers could appeal the RV assessment. I think that Ibrox is classified -by UEFA- as a higher class stadium than the piggery. (A schoolboy could have come to the same conclusion). One of the factors contributing to that ranking -apart from the obvious- is transport links, which would affect RV, also. It stinks U, if i build a garage put in a new driveway, build an extension increasing the number of bedrooms. the price goes up on my house, My council band is increased and the council tax increase follows. Same happened to them the stadium asset increased it's value thanks to the tax payer, but no return for them on that investemnt in the from of rateable value?
