Two More Legends Added To Hospitality

Recommended Posts

legends

Bobby Shearer, Eric Caldow, Harry Davis, slim Jim, wee wullie, Ralph Brand, Davy wilson Jimmy Miller John Grieg who I saw

didn't see Johnny Hubbard or Willie Waddell or Telfer

DJ, Colin Stein Willie J. Parlane ? (mmmm) super Ally mark Hatley

Souness, the Goalie......but there's a host of others like Papac, Dave Smith, Ronnie McKinnon where are they in the grand scheme of things

maybe we could post a legend I missed and one who nearly made it....

what's the criteria for a legend ?

The criteria Colin seems to be - free on a Saturday.

It would be interesting, but probably impossible, to define a 'legend'. By most measures Barry ferguson is a club legend, yet I'd wager quite a few would be unhappy to describe him as that. Is Mo Johnston a legend? What about Gazza or Brian Laudrup? (Did you know Brian Laudrup was actually Austrian by birth? I didn't know that until very recently).

You have to have done something exceptional to achieve legend status.

I've always hated the term "legend". It's at the same time meaningless and almost always misused. No one can agree on what it means or who it should be applied to.

I cringe whenever I hear a player or manager being called a "Rangers legend".

you could apply that to our 3 european finalist teams

so Roger hynd would be a legend........I agree but it's a bit unfair on those better footballers who never played in them.

his goal should have stood..no doubt by the way

Three Colin? Four I think you mean.
