More seriously, the guy is an out and out thug -that much is clear to everyone furth of Fir Park- and his brutal approach to playing is at best, condoned, at worst, encouraged, by his manager. Referees, also, should be instructed to look to themselves, and consider their duty of care to the opposition players, when he is selected, and keep his violent conduct in check. As it stands, rugby players get considerably more protection from officials than do footballers, particularly Rangers' footballers, from the run of the mill Scottish fitba' referee, and that is ludicrous.
