Steve Clarke record

Recommended Posts

Playing good football in Scotland, where teams treat matches against us as a cup final, is impossible at times.

Clark is the best candidate based on half a season at a diddy club?  Has he won any trophies as manager?  Surely there's better out there.

Murty may have got the tactics wrong yesterday but it is implausible to think that this had anything  to do with him being a celtic fan.

Who said it was

Well, you could always have been providing factual information.  However, your comparison with Clarke suggests otherwise; that being a celtic fan he should not be the manager of rangers.

Sorry, but this is ridiculous. Scottish sides go into Europe every season treating it as a cup final and get horsed by ball playing sides at the first hurdle.

I tend not to watch other Scottish sides in Europe, so I'll have to take your word that the opposition are all ball playing sides.

But Scottish football has its own peculiarities.

Let's focus on winning, first and foremost.

Clarke does have the advantage of a peculiar pitch. Same for both sides but the home team are accustomed to its vagaries.

Are you saying Clarke has peculiar gardening skills that previous Kilmarnock managers didn't have ?

xD

As mentioned above Killie seem to be happy to defend and counter attack. I am not sure how our fans would react to watching that kind of football.

I know the during the ‘Road to Manchester’ we played in that style but it really was honking to watch at times.

I think we'd respond quite well to winning 6 league games IAR (and counting) and beating celtic.
