And if such a person has mental health issues which affect their conduct then perhaps it's the case they shouldn't be in that position. A cop is in nothing like as high profile a position as Lennon but if your average cop had 'mental health' issues and was conducting himself in a 'Lennon like' manner say while policing a football match wouldn't people expect him to be removed from duty? At least until said issues could be assessed and treated?
