Not wanting this to turn into another zillion page Boyd debate, but I read on another forum that, penalties excluded, KB has scored on only 1 SPL away ground this season.

Anyone know if that is correct?

Yeah, if you don't include the vital goals in the CIS Cup, UEFA Cup, the 2 that nearly sneaked us a draw in the Scottish Cup and the penalties that he did score one could find another reason to have a moan about Boyd's contribution...

IMO his away record wont get any better next season either unless he improves his game by gaining a better touch, losing a few pounds, starts to be more mobile in the final 3rd and stops the late nights (if those rumours are true). And also depending on if he forms a new partnership next season.

There's plenty other culprits in the team to pick on before i would have a go at Boyd.

The arguement is he is still the top scorer in the SPL regardless of his work ethic, granted there hasnt been much competition from other clubs' players.

We've needed a goalscorer for seasons, we've now got a good, young one who has his best years ahead of him. It would be a disaster if he left imo. (not that that's on the cards).

Christ, read what I asked  - thanks for mmcd_rfc for confirming that a statistic that I didn't think was correct was actually correct.:uzi:

I wasnt having a go at you Cammy, just giving my opinion on Boydy. :)

I dont mind if every away goal he scores is a penalty as long as he scores it.... and if its against tic then all the better.
