We've controlled the game but other than a couple of great deliveries which we should have scored from our final ball has been lacking. They play counter attacking football with some nice one touch stuff in and around the middle of the park and other than a shot from distance that hit the bar ( looked to me like McGregor had it covered if it was lower) haven't done much in the last third. They will be very dangerous at their own place and we need to put them away here and now.

We need to score from our chances and sometimes people need to take responsibility and shoot themselves ... but 5 new players need finetuning with the rest and given the state we are in, some "slack-ness" was obvious. Let's hope we'll be more clinical in the 2nd half.

 

McCrorie is a touch too enthusastic as well as erratic with his passing, perhaps a bit caught in the occasion. Maybe switching him with Jack later on.

Very important to go away to their place with a cushion so another couple of goals required

To be fair to the much maligned Windass he did very well to track back and win the ball which led to the goal.

We're obviously lacking a bit of early season fluidity but we're still playing well enough to have been three in front.

 

I like Flanagan's efforts so far too but I think he represents a lack of balance in the team and I'm not always sure the players themselves know where they should be in certain situations.

 

Tonight at least, I'd like to see McCrorie moved back one in favour of someone like Jack or Ejaria who'd maybe be more effective in forward situations.
