Steve Bruce to Newcastle

Recommended Posts

Saw a couple of posts on a Sheffield Wednesday forum where they're distinctly unhappy about being abandoned by Bruce who only stepped into the job in February.

This post illustrates their disappointment.

Rather than keeping the disloyal c**t at the top of the page let’s discuss who will take the job here.

But this one amused me more.

Van Bronckhorst is an interesting shout but he’d do a Bruce and go to Rangers as soon as Gerrard takes a job in Prem.

A club has to climb a high wall to get to the EPL, individuals can get in via a phone call.

Bruce has been around a while and you wonder at this apparent choice, an Ashley run Newcastle.

Managers come and go so quickly, perhaps it's simply about a bigger contract and potential bigger pay-off when it comes.

What about the takeover ?

Is it just another in a long line of deals that never were as Mr.MASH continues to slowly suffocate the life out of the club.

How true. Well put.

Bruce doesn’t have a glittering managerial career, does he? Failed at Sunderland. Failed at Villa. Making him manager is like fishing a drowning man out of the pool and appointing him lifeguard.

If you put the EPL into a 'High Street' in London.

Man City would be Harrods

Newcastle Utd. would literally be a Sports Direct store, cheap tat but with a decent customer base.

Love the analogy. In that vein who would Chelsea be?  I'm having Tottenham as CurrysPCWorld - Quality white goods, but always fuck up the delivery and West Ham as Poundland.
