Exclude Rangers players and those like Denis Law and Billy Liddell who didn’t play in the Scottish League.

Brown (Dundee)

McKimmie, Miller (both Aberdeen) Martis (Motherwell)  Bobby Cox (Dundee)

Cumming, Young, McKay (All Hearts)

Smith, Reilly (both Hibernian) Ring (Clyde)

John Cumming is the captain and I’ve given myself some  licence because the midfield three never played as such.

No celts. If I’m honest Danny McGrain should have got in. Murdoch would be considered for the reserves and I’ve just remembered Dalglish.

Yeah, McGrain was 10 times the player that McKimmie was.

Of course.

I'd never heard of Martis, but with one cap, does he really deserve to be in front of, say, McLeish?

He was competing with McKinnon, McNeil and Ure. Motherwell had a very good half line, Aitken, Martis, McCann. Forwards not bad either. Reid, Father Quinn, St John, Hunter, Weir.

Again a generation thing and can only go by who I have seen.

Andy Robertson will probably go in at LB eventually but I'll stick with players who are retired.

Very difficult when leaving out Rangers players and this team could end up getting edited with more thought. Darren Fletcher being one who could go in.

Strikers in the 90s werent the best without McCoist and Durie so its difficult to choose. Craig Brown seemed to play the likes of Scott Booth, Darren Jackson and Kevin Gallagher with none of them doing much at international level.

Bert Slater

Alex Hamilton

Roy Barry

Jim Steele

Bobby Cox

 Gordon  Smith

 Pat Stanton

Alex Edwards

Dave McKay

 Alan Gilzean

Neil Martin

Two good full backs and two centre halfs that only someone on a suicide mission would trifle with an experienced three in the middle with a young Edwards making it four very talented players and two up front that will get me goals Bert Slater in goal because the 64 cup final would have been known as Slaters final if we hadn't got our two late on goals

Thought Scum players were to be left out too.?

No. They get in if you think they’re good enough.

I admit I was wrong to leave out McGrain.
