Maybe, but then someone else might be able to acquire that debt for very little and earn it back to the long term detriment of Chelsea. Business is business.

 

Not sure how any sanctions against a large debt would affect FFP too. All very tricky. I suspect the UKGOV, UEFA and the FA will choose the path of least resistance and do nothing.

not if the debt is simply cancelled. This isn't a reasonable business transaction it is a removal of an asset due to war.
