Morelos - Sakala

 

Hagi / Kent

 

Cantwell - Ruskin / Kamara - Tillman

 

Yilmaz - Davies - Goldson - Tavernier

 

AN other

 

(Kamara because f*ck you; that's why. Quality player.)  

 

We've got Colak as another pure striker, or we can drop Sakala for another #10. 

 

Lowry can play as an #8 or #10, too. 

 

I think that formation suits the personnel; it's just a matter of MB getting the most out of it. Time will tell.

We have had some fantastic players grace that role and today we have Matondo !

With that personnel I prefer a 4-2-3-1

Or even more of a Xmas tree formation with Tillman being slightly further ahead of Cantwell and Kent, just in behind Morelos

 

One thing though.... we at least are starting to look like we have options, both in terms of formation and personnel

He has, for the most part, done this when he has been presented such opportunity - even in his cameo against St Johnstone at the weekend he had one sublime ball in behind Considine for Morelos to run onto.

My memory might be doing someone a hell of a disservice but I'm struggling to think of a genuine contender since Laudrup and that's almost 30 years ago. Cooper would probably get some votes I suppose but then you're back another 25 years to Bud Johnston, Willie Henderson, Davie Wilson and the like. Surely I'm missing a few.

You don't need to persuade me, I'd have him starting.

 

Tillman and Lowry can both play

Tillman is phsyically stronger and has the jersey but would cost around 5M or whatever

Lowry is our player

 

We have 5 months of essentially 16 dead rubbers (league fixtures)

We have a delicate financial situation and squad rebuild underway.

 

Goodbye Malik (regrettably)

5M approx to go toward other players
