On the manager front...I was reading an article online about Jock Wallace the other day and I was shocked to discover that he was only 60 when he passed away in 1996. That meant that he was only about 41 when he completed the treble in 1978. It just shows you how times have changed as I always have this image of JW being in his late 50's/early 60's in his first spell at Rangers and then being an elder statesman during his 2nd spell. Seeing pictures of relatives in the 60’s and 70’s who were at my current age lookin like ten pound smashed ass. Ahh nothin to do with him. Im talkin about family. They just lived rougher back in the day. Imagine goin up to your 55 year old granddad back in the day and askin him about his annual check uo ”They wanna put a camera where?!” My granny was married at 14, had her first baby at 15, went through three husbands, had six kids, outlived one, smoked and dipped tobacco for 65 years and lived to 83.
