Agree about Sima, but every passing game I find myself wondering just how a scout saw Silva and thought thats a player to spend £35-40 million on. Don't get me wrong, in the right league and with the right players around him, I think he could be a great player, but never a £20million+ player

Because he was 17 at the time.

I always had the impression that Cortes was a stick-on to be made permanent.

In the brief spell he's had he does seem to be first-team quality.

And he's only 20.

Great Post @Frankie and hard to disagree with most of it.

On Cortes, I'd imagine any deal (permanent or loan) will not be finalised until we know how he has recovered from his injury.

Sima - would love to see him back next season on loan but this will all depend on Brighton and his contract situation (they may want to sell if he is nearing the end of his current contract).

As you say Butland and Yilmaz may have to be sold to finance the "restructure" and my feelings on Yilmaz are different from yours and others so I'd sell him regardless.

I'll be in the minority but I'd only sell Tav is a huge bid was received. We need to have a succession plan in place but currently he offers more offensively than any other player we have. However, we can't keep relying on our RB digging us out of trouble.

I like Goldson and Lundstrum but feel their time at Rangers has come to a conclusion.

No matter which way you cut it, a huge job for Koppen, PC and the recruitment team .

kris Boyd name checks five players he said should be embarrassed with there lack of goal scoring opportunities,  they are Cantwell ,Lawrence , Silva, Dessers & Matondo is he right ?

Whatever happens this Sunday it will be a major task for PC as he will need to go with a new shaped squad or stick to his guns in which may be his down fall as we all know hasn’t worked well with previous managers picking the same squad when they have been playing p#%h.

I think It’s time to get rid of the liabilities that has cost us games and put those on who want to prove themselves on the pitch again Raskin being one of them!

xG since Clement took charge:

Our xG is still good (outwith some outliers, like Kilmarnock and Dundee), but the real issue over the last 5-6 games is the xGA we are we are allwoing our opponents. That Ross County game (2.81 xGA) is atrocious, but 1.36 against Kilmarnock and 0.99 against Motherwell is poor.

We've never been clinical, so when that combines with a more porous defence, it spells danger.

St Mirren 1.75 0.14 2 0 1.61

Very interesting indeed Frankie thanks for the info, new defensive facelift needed for sure and a miracle that things pick up for Sunday and throughout 🤜🏼♥️🤍💙
