Is Tav's time as captain up?

Recommended Posts

His time as captain was up a few years back but the issue we had was no one was capable of replacing him.

Not just as captain but in terms of availability, contribution and leadership.

Until there is someone that matches Tav on the above attributes, then he'll remain.

On reflection, Dessers matches the above, I'd give him the arm-band.

I think he's here until he retires.

I don't have a problem with that.

I do tbh. Even if just psychologically, he is a reminder of an era of failure.

Personally I'd rather that cycle was brought to a close. And with our new Sporting and Technical Directors I'd be looking to see if Nathan Patterson fancies up the road.

I thought we were trying to get away from buying players with historic injury issues?

22/23 Knee injury 1 days Everton FC1
22/23 Ankle injury 36 days Everton FC5

It would be a nice transition if Tav was to hand down to Raskin in a way that benefited all parties, when we needed Tav throughout the seasons he produced the goods, its only fair we give him a propper send off!
