Who's All Missing ?

Recommended Posts

Seem to be 8 - Weir, Davis, Beasley, McCulloch, Adam,McGregor,Burke, Naismith.

Weir would be biggest loss. We went to pieces when he went off on Sunday. Evening Times made Dailly man of the match! To my mind he was at fault for first 2 goals.

Don't know what team will be but I think we need Buffel in there somewhere; he's bound to be fresh.

RANGERS' injury crisis was today beginning to ease as several key players get ready to return ahead of schedule.

Veteran defender Davie Weir is out of Thursday's Uefa Cup semi-final second leg against Fiorentina in Italy with a groin strain - but midfielder Steven Davis is fit and will play in Florence. Chris Burke also is in the squad just 10 days after injuring an ankle in the Scottish Cup semi-final win over St Johnstone.

And, despite fears their season could be over, Lee McCulloch and Charlie Adam have a good chance of returning to Walter Smith's squad for the SPL clash against Motherwell at Ibrox a week tomorrow.

McCulloch, Adam and Burke all back so soon.

They may not have the quality or consistency of a Cuellar or a Fergie, but I was expecting those three, particularly the first two not to play again this season.

When you look at the teams that started the games against Fiorentina and Celtic, and that which ended the game versus Celtic, the return of 3 midifelders to bolster the squad should be warmly welcomed. Expecially when you consider we had not a single recognised left midfielder available to take the field in the last two games. Such a scenario seems impossible for a squad that has four left sided midfield players, at least, to choose from.

Increases competition for places and brings quality, trickery, strength and aerial power and the occasional piece of sublime football to win any game back to the squad.

Certainly I will be much happier going into the midweek tie with Motherwell with our list of casualties reduced.

I would like to think they dont have the consistency of Fergie - he has been inconsistent this season as it is......
