I'd like to think Walter WON'T do this 4-5-1 thing again as it's very negative and let's be honest we had to ground our way to the UEFA cup final, it was not pretty at times.

McGregor

Whittaker

Dailly

Weir

Papac

Novo

Hemdani

Thomson

McCulloch/Adam

Miller/Boyd/Lafferty/Darcheville

Velicka

Cammy, I fucking love you. I've been saying that for months!!! Can't agree with the McGregor thing though - he's by far the best keeper and has to start. He made a wee mistake against Raith, but if we were going to drop players for poor games v Raith, then none of the players that played would start tomorrow!

I'm hoping for an attacking formation, but I'm not holding my breath.

My team

-----------------------McGregor-------------------

Whittaker----Dailly----------------Weir------Papac

Novo---------Thompson--------Furman------Lafferty

----------------Boyd-------------Velicka------------

Walters team

-------------------------McGregor--------------------

Broadfoot-----Dailly-----------------Weir-----Papac

--------Whittaker----Thompson------Hemdani--------

Novo-----------------Cousin----------------Miller

Team using Wattie's signings as an indication

----------------------Mcgregor---------------------

-----------------------Weir------------------------

------------Thompson-----------Hemdani-----------

Novo--Darcheville--Cousin--Boyd--Velicka--Miller--Lafferty

---------------Mcgregor---------------------

-----------------------Weir------------------------

------------Thompson-----------Hemdani-----------

Novo--Darcheville--Cousin--Boyd--Velicka--Miller--Lafferty

Broadfoot was a Watty signing while Novo,Hemdani and Boyd weren't.

so if it was a Watty 11 then it would be:

-------------Alexander--------------------

Broadfoot------Dailly-------Weir-------Whittaker

-----------------Thomson-----------------------

Darchville-----Cousin------Velicka-----Miller-------Lafferty.

Thomson has a lot of running to do.:)

Pretty much the team I put down bar Cousin. But I can see this 4-5-1 coming back into things but he may play strikers in midfield.

Frankie, I believe that we are short in the following areas :

One x left back

one x right back

one x long term experienced centre-half to partner CC

one x creative midfield player

one x wide player

These players are 'missing' to a mixture of long term injuries and us not having cover in certain areas (full backs as an example). We simply can't go another season playing centre-halfs as full backs.

Cammy F

Id say WS will shuffle people around to cover the full back positions. I think we'll see Dailly and Broadfoot filling in at RB and Whittaker playing both sides when required as well as Papac at LB.

Depending on Webster coming good we will also see a few shuffling round at centre half to partner a fit Carlos.

We definatly need 2 centre midfielders plus a right sided midfielder to cover Novo. You'd think losing Burke and Naismith should have raised some alarms here.
