Cuellar? Remember him?

Recommended Posts

Noticed that Carlos was on the bench for Villa yesterday. Is this going to be his role, I wonder? Can't believe that Davies and Laursen would be considered better players. If this is to be his lot, I wonder if he will regret his decision to leave as that can hardly improve his chances of getting a game for Spain. Also, I wonder if the situation is the same come June, if we could sneak him back - just imagine a pairing of Cuellar and Bougherra, and don't forget Majid may not have been signed as a direct replacement, but as a supposed complementary CB. Just a thought.

Cueller will get into the Villa team. Its hard to oust a partnership thats started the season reasonably well. Can be unsettling for the team. Especially at the heart of defence. O'Neill will bleed him in gently. Come Xmas, i'd expect him in the first team.

He made his decision and left. Good luck to him but he wont be back at Ibrox any time soon

I think this is a case of the propaganda rule that goes if you say some pish often enough people will start to believe it as fact.

Seems to me that people have forgotten that Cuellar has been reported as injured since the beginning of the season and so needs to first get fit and then compete his way into the team just like any other player.

Or do people still believe AV are leaving him out to corroborate the old SDM conspiracy theory?

I'm more of a believer in Occam's razor.

See all these people who think it's a matter of time before Cuellar and Hutton come back.

Seriously, not gonna happen. Get over it.

Like someone said, Davies and Laursen is a solid partnership (let us not forget Laursen is the captain and they paid more for Davies than they did for Cuellar) so it'll be tough for him to get in.

He played on Thursday in Europe and didn't look at his best due to a lack of match fitness more than anything.
