Maribor put them out of the Intertoto last night.

 

Was just watching the highlights (or should that be lowlights ??) - Villareal ended up with 8 players - Forlan being the 3rd of 3 sent off - he was sent off for hitting one of the Maribor players.... just not sure if he was sent off for his 1st, 2nd or 3rd hit at the guy !!!

I think Maribor are from Eastern Europe somewhere, it was Maritimo of Portugal that nearly left us with red faces, we had to rely on penalty kicks to put us into the group stages of the UEFA cup, hope it's a little easier for us this year !!

Yep, Slovenia. I cycled there from Graz in Austria and then on to Croatia. Not the nicest city in the world (especially compared to Graz) but the countryside around it is pretty picturesque.

 

There's a "Scottish" pub but as none of the staff speak English we weren't made particularly welcome...
