He had the same win rate in the championship as Rodgers - How's he doing these days? He plays a style similar to Rodgers which has proven very successful in Scotland. The guy isn't a failure. Who would you have appointed? Gerrard ruled himself out and the coach who's never been a coach demaned to much input. The sustainable model they are looking for means the coach is simply a coach, with a structure around them to manage signings and budgets. It may work, it may not but they (we) have to start somewhere.
