  1. Past hour
  2. Well, with all due respect, it is true. Perhaps you can answer the old canard which I posted earlier, with no response: If Russell Martin is the answer, just what, exactly, is the question? (I am going out for a haircut, so you have some time to respond, should you choose to do so.)
  3. Enlighten me. What am I missing here?
  4. Oh, it has, with all due respect.
  5. I doubt that, with all due respect.
  6. It's a terrible appointment in your opinion, which you are allowed to have, others can disagree. I've said he's not who I wanted and neither was DA, but he's who we've got, I can see why we chose him.
  7. Like many I'm uncertain about this but it's also fair to say the process will have been a sound one and the same concerns we have will have been asked and answered in detail. As such, it's now time to welcome Russell and get behind him in what remains a very difficult task.
  8. He had the same win rate in the championship as Rodgers - How's he doing these days? He plays a style similar to Rodgers which has proven very successful in Scotland. He plays with 2 forward / wide full backs like SG did, which proved somewhat successful. The men who chose him have vast sporting and football knowledge (unlike previous boards). He's been signed to simply coach, not run the entire footballing structure. It's now over to the recruitment team to get him (us) the players we need
  9. News conference at 11.15.
  10. The guy has never even even got a sniff of any European football in his amazing career. He is a managerial failure. He was lucky to not be sacked the one year he got promotion. Delayed the inevitable until he won 1 in 16. Come on. It's a terrible appointment and you are allowed to admit it
  11. You can't answer the question by saying "but who could it have been" That's a shite cop out. Please show me your logic behind saying he isn't a failure. I at least gave my reasons.
  12. The guy isn't a failure. Who would you have appointed? Gerrard ruled himself out and the coach who's never been a coach demaned to much input. The sustainable model they are looking for means the coach is simply a coach, with a structure around them to manage signings and budgets. It may work, it may not but they (we) have to start somewhere.
  13. There are a few more. My campaign was relentless.
  14. Once again, wonderful insight backed by brilliant analysis and points. You're on fire 🔥
  15. It's official - toys currently being thrown around by football experts, sorry fans all over the world. Close thread.
  16. I only see the BBC article you shared.. the guys a failure. He would have been sacked if he didn't win that playoff. 40 million wage budget he had, 2nd highest in the league. Still finished 2 places below Ipswich who had x4 less budget. They also shipped 63 goals. None of this can be sugar coated. We know what happened once they got promotion too. More woefulness
  17. Cheap hire = cheap fire.
  18. Read my numerous, numerous posts on the subject.
  19. If we are prioritising domestic football over European football, then it shouldn't. Another concern budget wise is full backs / wide players. Only Jefte (at a push) is suited to Martins style, so we will need 2 x starting full backs.
  20. I think it's an absolute woeful appointment. The guy really is a joke. Why would anyone think he has what it takes? I hope to god I'm wrong, but il eat my hat twice over if I am. Absolutely gutted
  21. Today
  22. Who cares what any of them think about anything. Get back to me in October , its another fuck up.
  23. Weren't the Crltic support against Postecoglu? Never heard of the guy. Wasn't Eddie Howe. Look how that turned. To write the guy off before he's even been here for a day is wild.
