Yeah, it seems like that’s the tactics of most clubs when dealing with recruiting and not paying fees . Tbh I think that sort of Shit needs to be stopped. We only need to look at the handful of players that left us for free or others for that matter only to secure a better contract if they left for free, Yes it’s the players decision but if they sign a 5 year contract and don’t decide to renew after a certain point then surely the old club has a right to put that player up for transfer to gain financial gain in order to support the club in finding a replacement.
