Martin has signed for 3 seasons - Summer, Autumn and Winter - so its not that long. As Rab posted above, its done now so we accept and get on with it and give him a chance. Trying to look at the positives - he may have some good contacts in England to get a few good loans signings in. We seem to be trying a re-build every year and some of our incoming loans in the last few seasons have been far better business than the outright purchases. Its not a long term strategy but with Euro qualifiers not far round the corner and our squad being light in multiple areas Im happy if we get players who can perform like Sima and Cerny have done. That head of hair on Martin though! Im surprised Head & Shoulders wasnt in the running for him for their adverts.

The Confederations Cup prior to the World Cup in the 90s wasnt too bad a competition - that Roberto Carlos free kick was the stand out. It seems this club world cup may be part of a dry run for the World Cup next summer to test the waters for a tournament in the US. Speaking of which - with it being extended to 48 team Uzbekistan, Jordan and New Zealand have qualified for it and New Caledonia are into the play off round.

Wonder what the crowds are going to be like at this tournament. Also will be interesting to see the intensity levels or if it looks more like an exhibition.

Yeah, Propper had some good games in Europe. More his style of play than the rough and tumble of the SPL. 1.2 million euros apparently. I thought we could have got more, but he's 31 now, so maybe it's not too bad. Good lock to him in the future.

Little clip from MK Dons, looks hands on manager and not just passing to his trusty lieutenants, looks to take the lead in which we have been craving for an identity. Also the fact the EPL or whatever it’s called when he secured Southampton up in his first season is regarded as one of the hardest to gain promotion with.
